New book

ZoĆ« Wicomb was born in Namaqualand. She lives in Glasgow, where she is Professor in the Department of English Studies at Strathclyde University. Her first book, You Can’t Get Lost in Cape Town, was well-received internationally. The next book, David’s Story, won the 2002 M-Net Literary Award. Her latest book, The One That Got Away, is set mostly in Cape Town and Glasgow, and is a collection of 14 short stories. The stories explore a range of human relationships: marriage, friendships, family ties and relations with servants.
